Blockchain Phones – On the recent all member call I went over some privacy options in the arena of blockchain PHONES, again here is the link to the one phone I like the best:

More INFO on Blockchain Phones: I’d like to say a big THANK YOU! to two members – first Helen, the member who had the phone. She sent me some more info about it based on her experience, which also opened the conversation of DE-GOOGLING your devices – preferably your WHOLE LIFE. Meanwhile another member RM sent me info on exactly how to do just that – DE-GOOGLE your devices. So here it is:

Here’s some info on the Clear phone that I didn’t mention yesterday:

1. The lower and upper level phones do not have google installed on them. The 420 phone does (I didn’t know this when I ordered it). This is because some people wanted the google apps. However, I have not signed into google, so as long as I don’t do that, they have told me it’s not a problem.
2. If you order the phone as a subscription, it comes with a US phone # (Utah). If you buy the phone outright, there is no phone #.
3. I asked ‘support’ a lot of questions, and they were very helpful.
4. There are no crypto wallets in their download store. So an APK (android package_ version would need to be downloaded).
5. To download apps not in their store you have to search “app name, apk” and download. Clear have video’s on this. Clear also say if you want an app not in their store, ask them and they may add it.
6. The phone seems to be still in development, because some of the features are not fully functional.

At the moment, I have a Samsung, that stays at home. When I go out, I take the Clear phone. I will probably continue this when I move. I’ve heard a lot of people do this with ‘de-googled’ phones.

**Yes, I think this is a great strategy to have a phone that you take out with you that cannot track you.
