BCH Breaks $286 Support — Fed Just Handed Venus Square Pluto a Blueprint??

BCH Breaks $286 Support — Fed Just Handed Venus Square Pluto a Blueprint?? — BCH breaks $286 support — AURASTROLOGY by Aura Wright

Bitcoin Cash dropped 3.25% in the last 24 hours to close at $279.40, breaking cleanly below its 200-day moving average at $286.19. That’s not a wick, that’s a breach. The trigger came from the Federal Reserve’s October 28 decision to hold rates steady at 3.75% to 4%, with two members voting for an increase — dampening any hope of rate cuts and sending risk assets into a flush.

BCH led losses across the broader crypto market, shedding nearly 6% from its intraday high of $304.28 down to a low of $275.32. Bitcoin itself slipped toward $80,000 after initially jumping to $81,800 post-FOMC, reversing hard as macro uncertainty took hold. NEAR and BCH were the hardest hit, both down near 8% as altcoin deleveraging kicked in.

Venus Square Pluto Meets Fed Hard Money

Today’s sky is a study in contradictions. Venus Square Pluto is live — that’s a hard aspect between the planet of value and the planet of destruction, a classic financial-astrology setup for sudden reversals and loss of support. Venus also makes a hard aspect to Collectibles, the X-body tied directly to altcoins and rare items. Collectibles got highlighted, and BCH — one of the oldest large-cap altcoins still standing — took the hit.

Venus Sextile Jupiter is also active, a supportive aspect that under normal conditions signals upside or at least stability. But supportive aspects don’t override hard ones when the macro backdrop is hostile, and the Fed just made it clear rates are staying elevated longer than the market priced in. Two FOMC members voted to raise, not cut — that’s hawkish, and Venus Square Pluto handed that hawkish stance a weapon.

Sun Square Pluto is also exact today, amplifying the destructive pressure. Mars Conjunction Jupiter should be expansive, but Jupiter’s supportive aspect to Winner’s Circle didn’t save BCH from breaking support. The net astrological score for today is +2.19, technically green — but that green score is driven by background outer-planet aspects that move slowly. The fast-moving Venus-Pluto square is what’s doing the damage right now, and it’s doing it to the exact asset class Venus hard aspect Collectibles flagged.

The 200-Day Line That Decides the Trend

The 200-day moving average at $286.19 is a medium-term structural line — it’s the average closing price over the past 200 days, and when price breaks below it after holding above for weeks, it signals a shift from constructive to defensive positioning. BCH is now trading 2.2% below that line at $279.87, with the 50-day SMA at $282.06 and the 20-day at $279.36 also converging as resistance overhead.

Taker sell flow on Binance outpaced buys by roughly 1.4 to 1 as of the October 29 session, and open interest in BCH futures has been declining — weak speculative support from derivative traders. That’s a setup for continuation lower if the Fed stays hawkish and Bitcoin itself can’t reclaim momentum. The next meaningful support below current price sits around $268 to $275, the zone where the market tested during late September’s flush.

Changelly’s forecast for October 2026 had BCH at an average of $290.01 for the month — BCH is now nearly 4% below that estimate. If the 200-day line holds as resistance on any bounce attempts, the path of least resistance into early November is lower. Venus Square Pluto stays in orb through early next week, and Collectibles hard aspect Magic Touch is also active — the element of LUCK is present, but under hard aspects, luck cuts both ways. The smart money is either sitting this out or scaling in with tight stops below $275.
